2015 Movies I Can’t Wait to See

There are a lot of interesting movies coming out this year; check out my list and let me know if you’re interested in any of the same films! These are in no specific order.

Avengers: Age of Ultron: May 1

I loved the first Avengers movie. It’s probably safe to say it’s one of my favorite movies. If Joss Whedon keeps with his vision for the first, I’m sure Age of Ultron will be spectacular. Plus, when is Whedon ever wrong?

Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens: December 18

So, I’m not completely sold on this sequel. I’m a huge fan of J.J. Abrams, and of course, Star Wars, so I’m hopeful, but I’m going to keep a healthy amount of wariness going into this movie.

Jurassic World: June 12

I grew up watching the Jurassic Park movies, and while they scared the crap out of me, there is a certain amount of nostalgia attached to the franchise. Plus, Chris Pratt is amazing and I want to see him in more movies.

Jupiter Ascending: February 6

This looks big, fun,  flashy, and has all the potential to be a monstrous trainwreck. But every time I see the trailer, I get more excited about it. Fingers crossed that it will be fantastic.

Insurgent: March 20

We all know this series goes WAY downhill after DIVERGENT, but I have high hopes that the movies will at least be well done and entertaining. I really enjoyed the first movie, and I hope the second is just as good.

Tomorrowland: May 22

I’m a Disney fanatic, so this movie looks amazing, even only with the teaser trailer we’ve been given. Plus, I think Britt Robertson is a great actress, so I’m excited to see what she does with the lead in this movie.

Cinderella   Pitch Perfect 2  Last Five Years

Cinderella: March 13

I could not be more excited about this movie. It looks beautiful, romantic, extremely well cast…this is one I’ll be first in line to see.

Pitch Perfect 2: May 15

I did a happy dance when I heard Pitch Perfect was getting a sequel. I was so pleasantly surprised by the first (I didn’t even see it in theaters because I thought I would hate it, and of course, when I finally saw it, I loved it) and I hope they get it right with the sequel. Sequels are a dangerous business.

The Last Five Years: February 13

Not as many people know about this one, but if the studio has done it right, it’s going to be amazing. Jeremy Jordan is a peerless talent with the voice of an angel (one of those sexy, fallen angels) and I cannot wait to hear him sing Jason Robert Brown’s gorgeous music.

Ant-Man: July 17

So far, Marvel hasn’t gone wrong with their Avengers franchise, so I have plans to see every movie they make. Including this one that I know nothing about.

Mission Impossible 5: December 25

Did you see Ghost Protocol? So much fun. Really, the only Mission Impossible movie I don’t much care for is the first one.

Seventh Son: February 6

This might be terrible (the release date was supposed to be early last year, which isn’t usually a great sign), but it’s got Ben Barnes in it, so at least we’ll have someone pretty to look at.

There are definitely some that I left off that I’m sure will be quite enjoyable (notably Mockingjay pt 2, Disney’s Inside Out, Minions), not to mention some that will inevitably be controversial (Neill Blomkamp’s Chappie, Fifty Shades of Grey). It should be an interesting year for film!

What movies are you excited to see this year? did I leave any off that you can’t wait for?
