For the month of December, we’re taking a little break from Literal Book Covers to appreciate some of the absolutely gorgeous book covers of 2016! I could probably name a fabulous cover for every day this month, but I chose a a few that really stood out to me.
What covers did you love in 2016?
The Star-Touched Queen (The Star-Touched Queen #1) by Roshani Chokshi
I bought this book purely based on the cover. I don’t even know if I really read the synopsis carefully. I think I was just like, something that beautiful must be good haha. At the time of writing this post, I’m about five chapters in; it’s not groundbreaking, but it’s enjoyable. I still think the cover is gorgeous. The colors are just so rich, the atmosphere is just so romantic and ethereal. Love it! One of my favorite covers of the year.
Do you love the cover for The Star-Touched Queen too?
Oh I did! I also very much enjoyed the book, which matched the cover with its lushness and eastern flavour.
