Tusker House is an immensely fun character dining restaurant located in Harambe Village in Animal Kingdom. I’d been wanting to eat there for over a year, and I was thrilled to get breakfast with my parents there on my birthday weekend.
First of all, if you’re a breakfast person, you’ll love the character dining breakfast buffets. Tusker House has the usual: eggs, bacon, sausage, Mickey Waffles, you know, the kind of breakfast that you could get at a hotel (though the quality is much better than a hotel, of course). They also have a large assortment of pastries, as well as some African inspired dishes (I didn’t get to these, I was a little pre-occupied with the delicious bacon and cinnamon rolls. And Mickey Waffles, which I wont’ lie, are probably the best waffles I’ve ever eaten). Everything I ate was delicious. And as with all buffets at Disney World, it’s all-you-can eat!
For drinks, you absolutely must try the Jungle Juice, which is a delicious mix of Orange, Guava, and Passion Fruit Juice. It’s one of the options that’s included in the price of the buffet, and it’s well worth a try.
As it was my birthday, I received a complimentary celebratory cupcake, complete with lit candle.

I also received a Happy Birthday card, signed by Mickey, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy!
The theming at Tusker is excellent, and it really fits in the the African Village of Harambe that is right outside its door.

Like I said earlier, Tusker House is a character dining restaurant. During our breakfast, we were visited by Mickey, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy.

Tusker House is a great character dining experience; we like to spend early mornings through midday in Animal Kingdom, so I recommend breakfast at Tusker, but once the evening festivities start at Animal Kingdom, I think dinner will be a great stop here! The atmosphere is fun and relaxed, and I think it’s a great place for a family meal!
