I forgot how great this movie is. It’s funny, like, laugh out loud funny. And of course, Michael J. Fox is adorable as quick thinking and risk taking Marty McFly. It doesn’t feel too dated because most of the movie takes place in 1955. Even the 1980 stuff doesn’t feel to bad though, making it feel higher quality to me.
Christopher Lloyd is hysterical. He’s always making these crazed faces at Marty, and it was just hilarious, especially when Marty’s mom in 1955 asks Marty out (if you haven’t seen it, it’s a hilarious scene, and you should totally watch it). A lot of the laugh out loud scenes were thanks to Christopher Lloyd’s awesome acting.
His parents are so quirky back in 1955; it’s fun to see Marty getting to know a different side of them. Also, they were bizarre in 1980, so it’s nice to see that they aren’t just creepy people.
On a side note, I was surprised by how much language there was in this. No f-bombs or anything, but there’s a lot of it in there. So maybe not great for the young-uns.
I believe this movie as aged well. I enjoyed it supremely, and didn’t feel like I was watching a dated movie. It definitely made me want to watch the sequels, which is always a good sign. If you haven’t seen this movie, I highly recommend it.
