It’s Monday #13

I can’t believe Thanksgiving is this week! I’m so ready to eat all the food, watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and THE DOG SHOW. Anyone else out there watch the dog show?

What’s your favorite Thanksgiving tradition? Tell me in the comments!!

I’m watching two wildly different but equally excellent Chinese dramas this week. The first is The Princess Weiyoung, a historical drama full of gorgeous people wearing gorgeous costumes doing historical and romantic things. I love it. Lots of politics, intrigue, romance, ninja action. It’s wonderful so far.

The second is When a Snail Falls in Love, which is a modern police drama that went from 0-60 pretty quick in terms of intensity (we started out with a pretty simple homicide case and now we’re dealing with human trafficking across the Chinese/Myanmar border. It’s getting real). It’s about a sort of Sherlock-ian psychologist who gets assigned to a police force headed by a brilliant and effective captain, and it follows them taking down bad guys. And like, supposedly falling in love. Their relationship is very slow building, but I’m loving it. It’s subtle, which makes sense since they have so many other things to worry about.

What are you reading this week?

It’s Monday! What are you reading? is hosted by The Book Date.
