Reader Recommends #3

Reader Recommends is a fun meme created here at Ramblings on Readings where we recommend 3-5 books (or more!) based on certain given topics. This is a great way to see what other readers are enjoying in your favorite genres, or maybe find a new favorite series!

In honor of my trip to Disney World this past week, I want to know what everyone’s favorite “Happily Ever After” stories are. The journey doesn’t have to be filled with sunshine and rainbows, just the destination!  (obviously this is spoilery, so don’t give too many details!)

March 19 Topic is: Ghost Stories

Usually creepy, though occasionally fun and zany, ghost stories have been scaring kids at campfires for years. What are your favorite spectre tales? Let me know in two weeks on the next Reader Recommends!

Here’s what Ramblings on Readings recommends for Happily Ever Afters!

Wait for You by J. Lynn

This is New Adult Contemporary at its finest. Lots of drama, both of the relationship kind and the “I have a lot of baggage kind”, but an extremely sweet love story that will make you believe in true love.  This whole series is adorable and loveable.

Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

Girl moves to France, becomes friends with a hot guy at her boarding school, he leads her on (the jerk)…I loved the strong friendship themes in this one – of course the romance was sweet as well. This is one of my favorite YA Contemporary’s.

I’d Tell You I Love You, But Then I’d Have to Kill You by Ally Carter

This is a ridiculously fun series; believe it or not, the main characters have to go through a ton of pretty bad stuff to get their happily ever after. The main premise is a group of girls go to an all-girl boarding school that is actually a school for spies. Shenanigans ensue for six books, and they are glorious. Lots of action, mystery, and romance. Completely unrealistic, but so fun.

Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout

If you’ve been around my blog at all, you know how obsessed I am with JLA. I don’t think she knows how to write an unhappy ending. This series is amazing, and one of my favorite fantasy/paranormal, and the ending is hard won. There’s awesome fantasy action, lots of Greek mythology, and a heaping helping of romance.

What would you recommend for Happily Ever Afters? Add your post to the Linky! There are quite a few that I wanted to post but didn’t want to be super spoilery!
