Saturday Spotlight: Russell Brooks

Wow, it’s been a really long time since I’ve done a Saturday Spotlight; life has been crazy busy! But today I’m featuring Russell Brooks, author of Chill Run. Check it out!

Chill-Runcover2Summary:

You know a publicity stunt has backfired when someone dies.

Starving author Eddie Barrow, Jr., will do anything to get a book deal with a NYC publisher. Even if it means getting  caught by the media while engaging in S&M with a female celebrity as a publicity stunt. What Eddie gets instead are details of a billion dollar fraud scheme from a suicidal client who’s fatally shot minutes later. Now on the run from the law and the killers, Eddie seeks help from two unlikely friends—an alcoholic and a dominatrix. With few resources, Eddie races to clear his name, unveil the fraud scheme, and expose the killers before he becomes their next victim.

Well, I’m intrigued. Sounds quite interesting…and with that motley crew, I can imagine it has at least SOME comedic relief 🙂

Author Bio:

I’ve been fortunate to have had the opportunity to be an Indiana Hoosier Track Champion and Canadian Track Team member in the 100 and 200 metres. It was during my travels across Canada, the United States, and Europe, where I would spend time writing and coming up with story ideas.

My BS in Biology from Indiana University helped me write my first thriller novel Pandora’s Succession, followed by the short story thriller collection Unsavory Delicacies. This was followed by Chill Run.

Although my goal is to keep readers in suspense with my novels, I may occasionally dash off a short story, or entertain viewers with my dramatic readings or play my violin.

I currently live in Montreal, Quebec.
