Stacking the Shelves #22

Confession time: I’ve been on a book buying spree for the past two weeks. It needs to stop. I don’t have the money for this. Not all the books I’ve ordered are on this edition of StS because they haven’t arrived at my house yet.

Here’s what I got this week!

17878931

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

Easily my most anticipated debut of the year. I was going to wait till my library got it, but ain’t nobody got time for that. Plus, I wanted to be able to have it live on my shelf. Because it’s beautiful.

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

So, I love the TV series, and I knew I had to read the book. This was another one I was going to get from the library, but the entire world had it on hold from now until the apocalypse, so I bought it. I have VERY high expectations. DON’T LET ME DOWN JAMIE.

First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones

I got this for one of my reading challenges. It’s been on my to-read list for a while. Plus I’ve heard it’s very fun urban fantasy, which I am a huge fan of.

Bitten by Kelley Armstrong

Here’s another one that I really like the TV show of; plus I’ve really enjoyed Armstrong’s YA books, so I thought I’d give her Women of the Otherworld series a try.

Fire and Hemlock by Diana Wynne Jones

This is another Reading Challenge book. I’ve heard so many glowing reviews of Diana Wynne Jones’ books; the only one I’ve read is Howl’s Moving Castle, which unfortunately I didn’t like much. I am a huge fan of the movie which I saw first (I’m a die-hard Miyazaki fan) and the book was just not as whimsical or zany as the movie.

I have heard mixed things about Red Queen, but I want to pick it up and see for myself. Outlander is so great! I really hope you enjoy it! I’ve read, reviewed, and loved it! Just followed you on bloglovin’ 🙂

I love the Women of the Underworld series and it is one of the few where I have read the entire thing – I think it’s like 13 books. It is really enjoyable. I own Outlander too but haven’t been in the right frame of mind to read it yet. Enjoy your books.

YES. I love finding great series that have a ton of books in them! I’m so excited to start reading Bitten! And yeah, even though I’ve heard only amazing things about Outlander, it’s so dense, I feel like I have to prepare myself to read it lol
