Kitty Hawk and the Curse of the Yukon Gold by Iain Reading
Series: Kitty Hawk Flying Detective Agency #1
Published January 1, 2012
In response to my fascination with the “ancient driftwood temples” of the beaches and my speculation as to their origins, my mother had given me a picture book of the various amazing structures of the ancient world. You know the type of book I mean. The Pyramids of Giza, Mayan Temples, Stonehenge, all those kinds of things. But the one that really caught my eye and fired my imagination was in the far-off jungles of Cambodia: the temples of Angkor. And so it was on that particular summer day that I decided to reconstruct the temple of Angkor Wat on the beaches of western Canada.
Teaser Tuesday is hosted by Books and a Beat.
