The demon was taking quick puffs of air through its mouth, its laser red eyes staring up at nothing. Black blood dripped from its tongue onto its neck. Riley forced herself to her feet and, with fumbling hands, broke open the seal on the steel bag.
How do I get this thing inside?
In the end, she kept jamming the fiend’s legs, body, and arms into the bag, like stuffing a pillowcase with foul-smelling fur. The thing stank like sulfur and rotten meat, making her stomach roil and acid singe her throat. She worked left-handed as the right was bleeding, waves of pain telegraphing up her arm.
With incredible effort, she locked down the two clamps that secured the demon inside the bag. She’d actually done it — caught her first Grade Three Hellspawn.

As you can tell from this excerpt, this book is intense. It’s a pretty interesting premise, with some unique paranormal elements. Lots of fun. Well, maybe fun isn’t quite the correct word, but you know what I’m getting at.
Teaser Tuesday is hosted by A Daily Rhythm.
Sounds pretty nifty. There are so many titles now that are “The -insert your occupation here – ‘s Daughter”. Notice that?
It’s an entertaining read 🙂 And this is very true. It’s kind of a trend right now lol.

I actually finished it a few days ago; I really enjoyed it! Pretty dark, pretty violent. A really good YA Urban Fantasy. I can’t wait to keep reading the rest of the series!

Visiting from Teaser Tuesday at Books and a Beat.
You’re right. It is intense. But I’m always up for a story when the heroine struggles against big odds and wins. And the cover is great!
Here’s my Teaser Tuesday.
