There are some really super exciting books coming out in 2017! Here are ten that I’m looking forward in the first half of the year!
1. Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth
Release Date: January 17, 2017
First of all, look at that cover. Second of all, I’m trying to get over Allegiant still, so I’m going to attempt to give Veronica Roth the benefit of the doubt that she can recover and that this can be great.
2. Wayfarer (Passenger #2) by Alexandra Bracken
Release Date: January 3, 2017
I really enjoyed Passenger (see my review here) and it ended on a cliffhanger, so I need Wayfarer ASAP. Please.
3. Flame in the Mist (Flame in the Mist #1) By Renee Ahdieh
Release Date: May 2, 2017
I loved her Wrath and the Dawn duology, so I would read pretty anything Renee Ahdieh writes at this point. Plus, look at the gorgeous cover.
4. Traitor to the Throne (Rebel of the Sands #2) by Alwyn Hamilton
Release Date: March 7, 2017
Loved Rebel of the Sands (see my review here) and can’t wait for this one. The first was an awesome mash up of like, fantasy and western in a middle east/desert setting. Super cool and fast paced.
5. The Last of August (Charlotte Holmes #2) by Brittany Cavallaro
Release Date: February 14, 2017
LOVED A Study in Charlotte (see my review here) and cannot wait to get back to adventuring with Jamie and Charlotte!
6. Caraval by Stephanie Garber
Release Date: January 31, 2017
Circuses always provide a whimsical and super creepy backdrop, and this is already getting some great reviews from ARC readers, so I have high hopes.
7. Strange the Dreamer (Strange the Dreamer #1) by Laini Taylor
Release Date: March 28, 2017
Laini Taylor is back! I’ve missed her since The Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy ended. Gorgeous cover. Can’t wait to see what’s she’s dreamed up this time!
Release Date: January 10, 2017
I enjoyed her insanely creepy yet totally engaging spin on Wonderland. Now let’s see what A.G. Howard does with Phantom of the Opera.
9. A Perilous Undertaking (Veronica Speedwell #2) by Deanna Raybourn
Release Date: January 10, 2017
Loved the first book (see my review here) and it sparked me to begin reading all of Deanna Raybourn’s other historical mysteries. I love her writing!
10. Blood Rose Rebellion by Rosalyn Eves
Release Date: March 28, 2017
Cool cover. Cool description. I’m down.
