Seeker by Arwen Elys Dayton

This has such terrible reviews on Good Reads. So many people haven’t been able to finish it, so I’m proceeding with much trepidation. It started out really well, so I’m hoping I’ll continue to enjoy it. Although, I am right there with most readers in being slightly offended at Ms. Dayton telling us how to pronounce words when characters say them. That’s what a pronunciation guide is for.

Recently Finished:

Defiance

Defiance by C.J. Redwine

LOVED this one. Can’t wait to pick up the next one. A gritty, dark, post-apocalyptic with a good splash of romance.

Reading Next:

Ensnared

Ensnared by A.G. Howard

This series. It’s dark. It’s whimsical. It’s romantic. It’s bizarre. It’s exactly what I want in an Alice in Wonderland retelling/re-imagining.  I’m excited to see where Alyssa and Morpheus end up. Oh, and I guess Jeb. Though it would be ok if he died bravely trying to defend Alice. I could get on board with that.

What are you reading this week?

I haven’t heard of Seeker yet but yeah, I’d be a little nervous with so many bad reviews, too. Hopefully it stays pretty good!

I love the cover for Defiance and I really liked it when I read it, too! I’ve yet to pick up the next books but I’m sure they’ll be awesome, too!

Ensnared has been on my list for so long! I’m trying to get through the stack of books I got for Christmas before moving onto that one!

Lovely post 🙂 Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Thanks, so far it’s going well, but I’m reading it nervously haha. I keep expecting it to be suddenly terrible.

I enjoyed Defiance a lot! I wouldn’t necessarily say it was a stand-out in the post-apocalyptic/dystopia/action genres, but it was very entertaining, and I’m definitely interested in continuing the series.

I totally understand getting through a big list of books; I have a disgusting amount of books on my shelf and on my kindle waiting to be read (I think it’s somewhere around 90 books?) Which is ridiculous since I continue to buy new books and get books at the library. Obviously I don’t have enough books lol, so I must get more!

Thanks! And thanks for coming over here and saying hello!
